I divorced my Xoom as well. She was too young and immature for me. No apps, no working SD card, no LTE and would always bug out.

God it gets tiring seeing people keep complaining about no LTE or SD card support yet and that's why they are returning their Xoom. You knew from the start it would not have those features enabled before you bought it, so stop using it as an excuse for returning. If you didn't like it fine, if you had buyers remorse or just want to wait until one of the other many devices come out that's fine as well. But returning something because it lacked a feature you knew it didn't have yet and wouldn't have for at least 90 days says more about you than the device itself.
That said I am still loving my Xoom. Use it daily to read, browse the web, and play the occassional game. it would be nice if Comcast/Xfinity would get a working app out for Honeycomb and gingebread, but other than that I am happy with it.Thanked by 3: - 04-22-2011, 05:04 PM #4

why is it tiring? It's perfectly reasonable to expect these things to be working out of the box.
I can well understand anyone venting about it. Fortunately, I don't need the extra space or speed for my usage so I'm happy enough. But I do feel for those that want what they paid for now. - 04-22-2011, 05:28 PM

I had to kick my Xoom to the curb... The Asus Transformer is a younger, and sexier for me. Xoom is a great tablet but after 3 weeks with the Xoom at work a KB dock and working SD card slot will make life so much easier. Had the Xoom shipped with a KB dock and working SD I would likely be set, but just need a few more options not currently available. Great to see more and more options show up as HC begins to take off.
Not to mention, new job, more traveling, 16 hours of battery will be amazing. Not having to drag out a charger in an airport will be very, very nice. - 04-22-2011, 06:10 PM #8
I'm already looking to cheat on my Xoom with a better looking screen

I love mine, sure there are a plethora of features missing, and it is unstable and there is no way to always load websites into desktop mode, but it works and I am extremely patient. She can change, I just know it xD

When I came over to investigate android everybody constantly fell all over themselves about how awesome Android was because it was open source and you could hack it and make it the way you want it etc. etc.
Now everybody just bellyaches when companies use this feature to give their customers features they want but aren't officially supported in the OS...
Personally, my Xoom and I had an annulment right after the honeymoon due to irreconcilable differences of the "you cost too much for what you offer" variety.
The Xoom better jump out with an "official" software update pretty soon if it expects to keep everyone's attention as the "official" reference honeycomb option. Official SD support, and significantly noticeable bug fixes (that other tablets don't have yet) would go a long way to justifying its position.

I'm going to be selling mine... It is a fine device, but I stumbled into an iPad2 and really like it. Don't love the iOS, but the apps are amazing. It is so buttery smooth.
I'm sadly going to part with my Xoom.

I'm not married to my Xoom, and we have an agreement that I can look, touch, feel, play others too. She's even willing to be at the same roof with them. LOL

The way I look at it, I came in knowing the limitations and I'm patient enough to wait for the updates. Plus, I like the feeling of getting new features over time... it's like Christmas every couple of months! :-)

It's always random, I get about 3 restarts everyday on this thing. I use it everyday almost all day. Sometimes the restarts just scare me, like the ones while I watch YouTube videos. It just freezes up randomly (no warning) and crashes with an annoying beep sound.

AMEN Brother!
I think it depends a lot on how you choose to look at it. Features which are not working (which you knew full well were not when you got it)
OR
Free upgrades that will be available soon.
EDIT: the only other Android tablet that intrigues me at all is the HTC Flier and it does not even have Honeycomb.
Playbook could be really nice but probably not till the 2.0 hardware that does not require a Blackberry for most features.Android is all about Personal Choice: Droid RAZR HD, Droid DNA, SGSIII, SG Note 2, HTC One X+, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus4... Hating is so Apple... we're better than that!
