Default Xoom To Get Updates Like a Nexus device?

I'm in the market to get a tablet and since I probably won't be upgrading my tablet as often as I do my phone, I want to get one that will get updates regularly like a Nexus device. Has anyone heard or does anyone know that since the Xoom is supposedly a "Pure Google Experience," if it will be getting updates as soon as Google releases them? Will the Eee Transformer? Or should I wait until a Nexus Tab is actually released?

The Xoom is a Google Experience device but since the source code for Honeycomb hasn't been released it's not yet able to compared to a "Nexus" device, as we don't know what changes to the code base are being done.

The only way to know if this will happen is if and when Honeycomb hits the AOSP and the Xoom gets sent the updates. (If there are any).

On an interesting side note, Honeycomb 3.0.1 was sent by Motorola via an OTA.

Do the Xoom updates come straight from Google or do they go to Motorola who changes it and then to your Xoom?
