Where will my updates come from?

I have the 3g Xoom but have no contract with Verizon at all. My Xoom has never even been activated on the Verizon network. I read that Verizon is releasing an update tomorrow, and it will be an OTA update. My last Android update came from the Android Market the day I bought the Xoom. How will I get OTA updates?

I did mine manually on my Verizon XOOM without data.

If you go to settings/about/update, you'll see that it checks automatically. Probably once per day on startup?

Thanks! I will eventually sign up for data after the 4g upgrade, but for now it's just wifi for me.

It will appear in the updates just like it would if it were a cell receiving an ota update. You will get the prompt. I got the last one with my 3g turned off so it will show.
