upgrade 3.1

I have a xoom that has been rooted and works fine.
I am now getting, when I power up, a message that 3.1 upgrade is available for my xoom.
Am I able to upgrade although my xoom has been rooted w/o bricking the xoom.

no it will fail when it checks you have to go back to stock.

I did a manual update to 3.1 in recovery. Do that. No need to flash back stock. Also wont lose root.

Where did you get the 3.1 file to flash with? Did you use ROM manager to flash it?
