When is 3G for NEXUS 10 being released

Hi,

I am looking to buy a Nexus 10 tablet. However, I believe that it currently does not have 3G capabilities which is a problem for me as I'm mostly out of any Wi-Fi zones.

Is there any planned update which would give the Nexus 10 the 3G capability and if so can anyone tell me when is that expected?

I don't own one but I don't think a update would give you that, It would need hardware for it. Just Tether from your phone, that's what I do with my nexus 7.

Or you can purchase a wifi hot spot like you would for a plan for 3g network.

No update to the current software can give it 3G support -- it's simply not built into the hardware; they'd have to release a separate model that supports that. At this time, I've heard of no plans to do so, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I can't imagine anywhere could tell you when or if that would happen though.

I really want to go from my iPad 4 3/4G WIFI to Nexus 10, but the lack of 3/4G is putting me off.

Any alternative to the nexus 10 that does have 3/4G?

Unless I'm missing a simple technical point, you can access 3g using a mifi with a 3g card in it- as long as you are in an area with a signal.That's what I do when I'm away from a wifi network. norman
