Re: Specs Predictions for the new Nexus phones

No Type-C, smaller battery on the Angler, no fingerprint scanner on either, and Android Marshmallow instead of Milky Way. Other than that, definitely seems possible. Wish they'd use an 808 on both, and that LG would make the Angler instead :(

Re: Specs Predictions for the new Nexus phones

Bullhead (LG Nexus 5 2015):
  • 5.2 inch Full HD IPS Quantum Display
  • Snapdragon 808 with 3 GB RAM
  • OIS, Laser Autofocus, Color Spectrum Sensor
  • 32 GB and 64 GB memory
  • 2700 mAh
  • USB Type-C
  • Android Milky Way (Android 5.2)
Angler (Huawei Nexus 6 2015):
  • 5.7 inch QHD AMOLED Display
  • Snapdragon 810 with 4 GB RAM
  • OIS
  • 32 GB and 64 GB memory
  • 3500 mAh
  • Fingerprint Scanner, USB Type-C
  • Android Milky Way (Android 5.2)
Pretty good spec list.

I hope the LG Bullhead has Full HD rather than Quad HD as you've stated. I have a QHD phone and dont see any benefit in the resolution increase.

I actually hope neither device has a fingerprint scanner. Seeing as Google has moved away from a physical home button, I can't imagine the fingerprint scanner would look good anywhere on the devices and would just come off as a gimmick addition they wanted to add, just because.

While I'm leaning towards the LG device the Huawei device is also compelling. Can't wait to see the both and decide which to get.

Hmm, AMOLED might make me give the Huawei a try, depending on how it looks. I use my phone in my car a lot, being able to see it while wearing sunglasses is bigtime helpful.

With the I/O announcements, I think Type-C and the fingerprint scanner might be likely.

Wasn't the fingerprint scanner for the Nexus 6 supposed to have gone on the back where the Motorola dimple is?

Tab feature? Did I miss something? I guess I tuned in late.

yeah I caught the beginning, was one of the first things they mentioned ... Jerry said he'd "dance if he could" so I assume we'll hear something from him sooner than later

I've heard that it might be based off of their upcoming Mate 8, which will be announced on September 2nd. Either way, we'll see.

K. This is my final prediction based off all the leaks.

I'm confident I have this all figured out. And I'm quoting, so I can't edit it later :)

Would love to see the predicted specs on the Huawei. I have a question about the rumored spec of wireless charging since the back of the Huawei case is supposed to be metal. There is this link:Qualcomm says it can now wirelessly charge metal phones | The Verge

Qualcomm says it has the technology to wireless charge through a metal case. Wonder if there was enough time for Huawei to put it into the production model. I have had wireless charging on my LG G2, Iphone 6( with an AirCharge case) and my Nexus 6. For me, I really like it.
