one planned? one rumored? will one for another smartphone work well?
Amazon ih the UK has one from Shocksock: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
this looks like it would be nice in terms of protection from the elements but i'm basically a fair weather rider. i assume you would not be able to use gestures on the screen when it is in this device, correct? that would be a disadvantage at least some of the time.Quote:

This will require a RAM diamond plate and a RAM base mount, about $15 more.
Although weatherproof or waterproof is not my requirement, but it almost seems (based on user reviews on amazon) that clamp style mounts (second and third) are not very sturdy and there are chances that the phone may drop riding over rough terrain. The first one seems like it will secure the phone perfectly and protect from weather elements too.
Any suggestions on any other good quality reliable mounts for bikes/motorcycles?

This will also require a RAM diamond plate and a RAM base mount (as shown in pic #2).
Seems to be very sturdy and RAM mounts are one of the best in the business.
Can't go wrong with RAM mounts. Maybe a RAM bike mount w/ the X-grip.
