Is this really the case? I am using the included AC charger, but I have a stand-up desk and the included USB cable isn't long enough WTF difference does it make what cable you're using - a USB cable is a USB cable, no?

As for me, I think I'm having a combination of many of the issues listed here. It seems to be a crapshoot whether mine will charge or not. And if battery percentage is in the high 90's, I can't seem to make it start charging at all. Other times, I have to turn the phone on and then back off before it'll connect.
The cable itself shouldn't be an issue, but not all USB cables are made the same. I've had connectivity issues with some that are too long for certain devices. You have to assume some sort of power degradation with more length.

It says that about every device.
Guys, if you're using anything but the included USB cord and AC adapter expect problems!

It CLEARLY states that the Orb is to ONLY be used with the included USB cord and AC adapter! Otherwise it may not charge properly, DUH!!, or even cause damage to the phone and/or the charger!
