Out of curiosity, why the concern with unrooting?
No reason. I'm not even sure if I ever was rooted or not. Right now when I check with root checker apps it says that I am not rooted. This is after I restored factory image. I'm just messing around trying to learn how to install an altenate ROM and then restore back to stock. I kind of lose track of what I'm doing and I think at one point I was prompted to root and I accepted. Later I had SuperSU installed and I was surprised to see the "Full Unroot" option becasue thought rooting was permanent and that is why I posted the question.

Remember this is a Nexus device... A few clicks and your back to stock anyways.
lol, maybe for you but I'm always a few clicks from mucking it all up and then it takes me forever to figure out how to find my way back.
