Google updates once rooted and flashed

Just wondering what I need to know about getting future Google OS updates if I root and flash CM. For example, if KLP is actually coming this spring, how could I get that/could I once I've flashed something else? Thanks.

When Google updates AOSP the ROM developers incorporate it. Depending on how significant the changes are it can be quick or take a while until the devs feel they've got it stable enough to release, although with CM you'll often see nightlies pretty soon.

If you're looking to return to stock to get the update from Google, you'll need to have a backup of your stock ROM, or perform a factory image restore following the guide.
