N4, CM10, and 4.4

My wife is going to be getting my N4 sometime in the next few weeks after I purchase the N5. Right now it is running CM 10.2 but I would like to restore it to stock for her. When 4.4 comes out, will I have the chance to update it, and if so, will it return everything to stock?

Sorry if this sounds stupid but I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to rooting/flashing/etc

You will have to factory reset your device/flash 4.4 image on the phone.

Make sure to make a back up using Titanium backup app.

I believe you also need the stock recovery first.
I suggest you just use a toolkit (for example Wug's toolkit) and choose the restore to stock option.
