Stuck in "Starting Apps", cannot enter recovery mode.

AC Question

My Nexus 4 is stuck in this bootloop for 2 days now, I've updated the version and it stopped in the middle of it for some reason. I had to reboot and now it's stuck at "Android is starting..." starting apps. Sometimes it does crash in the middle of it and the red light appears. Note: My volume buttons are not working for some reason, my device never took any physical damage and it used to work just fine. For that reason, I cannot enter recovery mode. I've tried using adb reboot recovery but it can't see the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Moved to the Nexus 4 forum. Is the phone rooted, and did you try to manually install a ROM?

I've used KingRoot to root it, installed SuperSU and then the software update showed up. I updated the phone and it got stuck in this boot loop.
And no, I did not try to manually install a ROM. I don't even know what it is :p

EDIT: Yes, I am the author of this thread, just wasn't logged in.

Ok, let me move this now to the Nexus 4 Rooting forum, where you might get even better traffic for your question.
