After reading a lot of posts mentioning issues some of you were having gaining root access after updating to 5.0 I thought I'd chime in. The initial problem was that the stock kernel was resistant to the standard method we were familiar with. To overcome this you had two options, either flash a passive kernel that would accept it or you just you did't regain root.
Luckily the genius that is Chainfire, has developed a new BETA version of the SuperSU. Yes I said SuperSU v 2.27 is a BETA release, but I've been using it for a couple of days and I've had no problems. As usual all disclaimers apply, but kudos to CF for finding another way.
