Malware found pre-installed on dozens of different Android devices

I have nexus 5X bought from google. Can someone elaborate or knows more about this issue? If all 5X (and other listed) are infected? If so, then what can be done to get rid of the malware?

The Nexus 5X is not impacted, nor are any devices sold by Google. It was listed due to an error by the original publication.
