Does anyone have an experience using this adapter. I'm just concerned about it harming the device over long periods of use.. If you scroll down to the customer reviews on the Amazon page there claims to be a Google engineer who says this doesn't work with the pixel.. Would it be the same for the 6p ?

I have the same question about the OnePlus Two Type-C adapter. I already bought their C to A data cable for syncing, I just need a compliant C to C cable or adapter for charging, and a secondary wall charger. I don't know which ones will work that won't ruin the device.

I ordered a couple from aliexpress (they have them for about 1/3 the price). Haven't received them yet but i can't see why they wouldn't work.

Check the review. Benson Leung (software engineer at Google) is reviewing some of these adapters and cables. it still works but not fully spec compliant. one of those you get what you pay for. I think I will try the oneplus adapter. I have two cheap white ones off of amazon.ca they may not be spec compliant either.

One thing I haven't found is an adapter that then allows for USB OTG

I've ordered the Orzly® Micro-USB (F) to USB-TypeC (M) Conversion Adaptor Triple Pack from Amazon, but thanks to this thread, I went back and read the reviews, first one being from Benson Leung.
