OK Google Voice Search - Not working on 6p?

Am I missing a setting I need to change? When I say "OK google" for my 6p nothing happens. I thought it was supposed to be always listening, even with the screen off. I have to long-press the home button to bring up the new google search page (Google on tap or whatever) to get voice search to work. Help, please and thank you!

Go to the "settings" app. From there, select "Google" located under the personal section of the settings page. Select "search & now" then select the "voice" setting and set it up. Ta-da

Some 6P owners are reporting "ok Google" will just randomly stop working until a reboot. I've experienced this too.

OK Google required a reboot to work for me too. Also noticed after the reboot Google now on tap toggled off as well.
