I read elsewhere where people are saying one of the reasons they bought the 128GB model because of 4K video. I think the 4K video is cool but what's the reality of it? Don't you need a 4K TV to take advantage of it? It creates HUGE video files. Will anyone actually be using this very often?

I guess you could say 4K video capability future-proofs the phone.

Are you going to be shooting 4K? On what setting do you tend to shoot video?

Of course you need a 4K TV or monitor to display 4K video and even then I doubt you'll notice much difference. I'd stick to HD video for now.

The benefits of 4K video are that:
1. You can capture a still from the video that is about 9MP, completely usable and even printable. A still from a 1080P video is only about 2MP.
2. If you do some video editing, you can compress it down to 1080P and have a cleaner, less noisy video than if you just shot it in 1080P.

I do not see any reason for viewing most video content in anything higher than 1080 unless you are watching a 60"+ screen in a small room. But shooting in 4K does have its benefits.

I shoot in higher resolution so when downsizing low light videos, noise is less. Same with my photos. But I didn't buy 128GB for that. I bought it for the memory.
