Even though we all know the new Google keyboard can be used in one hand mode, do people really use it like this?

I suppose it can be 'handy' for some people that swipe instead of type. If you type I can't see how it can help.

This is true. I swipe all the time, but I don't know, maybe I'm too used to having the whole keyboard rather than a smaller one. Still really annoyed me.

I've kept the keyboard in one-handed mode however my typing with one hand has become way too far and few between.

I've tried it in the past. I type two handed so it's really not useful to me. I'm not good with one handed typing on a big phone.

Actually the interesting thing here is the fact that even though it's got a 5.7" screen it's the easiest phone to one-handed due to the narrowness of it. At least coming from a Nexus 6.lol

Why did you giggle when you saw this thread?lol I've noticed that the only time I actually use one-handed mode is in the car as well typing in directions or texting. Other than that I have both hands free and it's way faster.

Are you telling us that you have your phone in your hand while driving? Hope you aren't on any roads near me!

I always try out Swype... I just don't type fast enough using it. The traditional keyboard coupled with auto correct works well enough for me.

Ya know shockingly even with the full keyboard size it's still not horrible in Google keyboard for one-handed usage. It's actually very manageable. I thought I'd NEED to have it in one-handed mode to type with one hand but it's not bad there's enough spacing between letters which is nice.
