How do you pull data (SMS, pics, docs) from Nexus 6P in recovery mode?

My Nexus 6P went into the dreaded bootloop this morning. It doesn't even make it to the android screen. Just "Google" and then restart, over and over. My warranty is still good with Huawei, but I don't want to lose all of my data.

I had SMS Backup and Restore set to download to Google Drive every night, but one of their updates apparently killed that. It stopped sometime last fall.

I can get my phone to recovery mode. Is there any way to pull the data to my PC? Any applications or methods available before I send it in to be reset?

Not that I'm aware of.

If you had a custom recovery you could make a nandroid backup and then restore the image to your replacement device, but there's nothing I know of that you can do with the stock recovery.
