Is stick mount listed as a root app when you open up the SuperUser or SuperSU app?
If not then you missed the prompt that first popped up when you ran stickmount where it requested root access.
If you don't have the superuser app then you may not have rooted
How are you trying to access the usb device? It's only browseable via a file manager, it's not available to other apps as i understand it. Meaning if you throw your music there I don't believe the music app will know to look on the USB device for your files to index. I could be wrong about that. - 01-17-2013, 09:07 AM

when you use a filemanager can you browse to /sdcard/usbStorage/xxxx/
