android M8 TV Box Screen resolution issues

Hi,

My apologies if I'm not in the right place to ask this question, but I'm completely stuck!

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have an Android M8 TV Box connected to a Samsung Television through HDMI.

Until last week, it worked great. Now, the screen keeps blinking as the TV does'nt seem to keep the same resolution when trying to screen movies. The screen goes black, then when it returns it shows the resolution setting 1920X1080. On other occasions, the TV simply says no signal for several minutes before finally displaying the Welcome screen on the box.

It was all working fine last week, and my XBox plays on the same HDMI without any issues.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a loose connection to me. Every time the TV loses connection with the device it refreshes itself. If the hdmi cable was bad it would never work at all.

I guess make sure the connection points are clean and that the cable is firmly seated.
