OnePlus 2(OP2) adding music ring tones to individual contacts

Hi, Individual Contacts don't allow adding music as ring tones. The only tones available are the out-of-the-box ones. This feature was available in Moto G3. Is there a trick?

Android 5.1.1 (I don't want to go to Marshmallow because syncing is a pain. You have to manually select "file transfer" each and every time you connect - argh)

Yay! Found my answer. It meant connecting to a local device and copying songs into the Ringtone's folder. I wasn't expecting that. Anyway, all done.

Add the music files to a folder named Ringtones (not the upper case R). Then it should be recognized as a ringtone (after you restart the phone.)
