Android device manager: does it ring in all alert slider positions?

I saw this over on the OP Reddit. Apparently, ADM doesn't ring when the alert slider is in the silent (top) position. I read this may be fixed in the betas.

ironass, I know you're on the beta. Does yours ring when commanding the phone to ring in all alert slider positions?

I also have Cerberus on my phone. I tried it and it sounds the siren, lights up the screen, flashes the flash on the back, etc. in all positions, even the silent position.

Interesting little bug, and it seems that telling it to ignore do not disturb does nothing... It seems you shouldn't lose your phone on silent lol.

Or a similar app, I can confirm Avast also works.

I tried this again after the upgrade to OOS 4.0.2 and obtained identical results as in the OP. ADM lights up Ambient Display and tells me that ADM is ringing my phone.. but no sound whatsoever in silent position. Cerberus raises all kinds of ruckus when the alert slider is in silent mode!
