How to stop notification peeking OnePlus 3 Android 7.0

I have oneplus 3, Android 7.0.
When someone sends me messages, for example, on WhatsApp, the notification peeks into screen.
It's really annoying because it disturbs my movie-watching, game-playing, or anything else I do.
If I remember correctly, it was solvable before last oneplus update (or last Android update).

Is there a way to stop the peeking only?
There's an option under settings, notifications, whatsapp: show silently - but this option encapsulate all: sound, vibrate, peek options.
I would like to remove just the peeking part.

hey there,
are you refering to the Heads-Up notifications? if so, try an app called "Headsoff", cant garantee it'll work as it was designed for Android L, but worth a shot.
