Use of Profiles

I am wondering how everyone uses the Profiles? Seems like too many clicks to get there...Widgets? Also, is there a way to automate when the Profiles are turned on?

I use Tasker to automate it.
Night Profile defined by time of day.
Automotive profile that starts when my phone connects with my car bluetooth.
Headphone profile when my headphones connect.
Then a default profile for the times in between
I also have one called silent that I use the notification shade widget to turn on and off. I use it for movies. If I don't even have to say on it since when I get in my car the automotive profile starts.

I really like the profiles.

Thanks. Wish there was something built in. I am not sure how the Quiet hours fits in if I am using external software...

Was looking forward to a smart system that allowed my kids to call and ring, even during Quiet Mode or Silent Profile.

Profiles can start based on wifi or bluetooth and it is built into the profile. It is on the bottom in profiles. Then you can start a profile with an alarm using the stock alarm clock.
