Optimus Elite CWM Recovery(Updated 9/25/12)

Thanks to Giantpune over at AF we now have a working CWM recovery for the Optimus Elite.

Everything has been tested and found to be working but as always there is the risk of bricking your phone so you assume that risk and no one else will be held responsible. If your not sure what you are doing, research it before you begin.

You can find the newest version here along with a guide to help you install ...

**If Giantpune gives me the ok I will post the link to file here with a quick guide... Until I get the ok follow the link above

We should also have a copy of drews touch recovery here sometime soon!!

So how is it looking? I would love to get some ROMs and kernals for this thing. I haven't even rooted yet, I'm just waiting around.

not looking good in my opinion. but i do not have insider info to really tell you one way or the other. my opinion is based on the absolute deadness of about any elite forum you visit. even where there is activity,the talk isnt around doing much. usually just general use conversation.

Yeah, I've seen the same stuff. I would try and help out and do stuff myself but I don't have a network set up yet (just moved) and only have a crappy vaio laptop to use. Eventually ill start developing but that's most likely next year. Do you know what is preventing the installation of a recovery?

Drew said lg did something in the boot loader. Last time I talked to him, he hasn't been able to work on it much because of work and all of the other devices he supports. Just give him time.

I just donated. I hate this phone as it is, need to remove crap from it. Wonder if we can fix all the 'vanishing' green bars all the time.

there will probably be a working release today. if so I'll post it for our forums here with a guide unless someone else gets to it first. it might be a few before I can,work keeps me prisoner at the moment lol

its actually finished with an open test ROM of harmonia. I have been working my tail off and no time to get links,guides etc up. will try this evening.

I have to say thank you for posting this, good work on finding it and getting it to us, and thank you to the developers, this should be built into every Android, i appreciate the hard work that goes into this.
