I'm guessing it must use the gordita exploit to accomplish that. Still a pretty cool tool.

Tapatalk'n it from my VM670 running LS670ZVJ Hydro Rom

It doesn't.....he actually was unable to get that downloaded....

It does, it uses the same command for getting correct permissions to flash recovery....

Edited windows version to include adb, less files, and a bin folder, because of all the changes I have bumped it up to V2. Linux remains the same, other than small tweaks and such.

If you like I can edit the main script for Linux to flash any ROM without having to rename it update.zip? Do not ask me about Windows I'm not really good with Windows Batch files.

Go right ahead. I could probably change it to work with windows. I'm not that great with either scripting types. Just enough to get a good working script.

Can you use this to flash tons without flashing, or do you still have to wipe? Perhaps you could add that into the options? This could really help for those blank recoveries.

It has automatic wiping process but to flash ROM, you must have a recovery that has signature verification off by default, or an actual signed ROM....

You need to add the virgin mobile mms patcher and add instructions how to use it.

Sent from my Optimus V running Optimus S firmware on MetroPCS

That would be way to much work. It would ruin the simplicity of the tool.

You've got to be ready for everything! Dual boot and/or use VMs.

I do. Ubuntu 10.04, and Windows 7. I'm just not that great at bash scripting. I actually started working on the bash script again, just never said anything about it. I will soon have it up to par with the windows version.

WARNING!!!! This tools is not compatible with CWM-Blue-Recovery any version, it well cause the rom to not install and well trigger auto backup after easing everything, causing the fastboot mode when rebooted.

@ Phatninja55 I have edit the mean script for the Linux version to flash any rom zip without the need to rename it to update.zip.

I already did that for windows, and am working on updating the linux version so it's up to par with the windows version.

Okay, if you need help with bash/shell scripts let me know. Can you update the OP about CWM-Blue-Recovery, that way Romtools users are aware that it is not compatible? It well also help me with support of the Recovery.

I'm good. I have completed it, I'm uploading it now. You now have to type the name of the rom file, patch file, or recovery file.

Romtools V2.5.2 is now almost 100% the same for Windows and Linux. Linux has an extra step to fix script permissions. Removed push to phone.
