The website is down for me right now,but I'm pretty sure there is a way to do it on the website. You also could call C.S. they are generally very helpful and friendly, and should be able to switch you over with little hassle.
If you are going with the 4g mytouch believe me you will love it. It's the reason I bought this phone. I had a blackberry before but my aunt was looking to replace her phone, so I looked at all the phones and the 4g was clear winner for her. In the process of learning about the phone and android I got bit by the bug, and snatched up a android of my own.
so the fact that it is flashed wont mess anything up on virgins end?
and yeah, this optimus v was my 1st android... and i got it a week ago, i had no idea how much i would like it. (or i would have went with a top of the line one to begin with) my only other smartphone was Omnia1 with windows 6.1 which was not good at all. everything i learned about rooting and recoveries and roms over the last week was from this optimus v section. my buddy has a droid1 and i flashed his this weekend to Cyanogen with the P3Droid clocked at 1.1gHZ and that made me realize that id like something a bit more cutting edge. ive heard mytouch 4g clocks to 1.8gHZ fml.... and CM7 Nightlys are pretty stable on it now. plus i figure if i weed out the virgin bill ($25 a month), cancel my broadband and tether the 4g (saves $50 a month) plus my job offers me a 10% discount w/ t mobile... so i will probably break even with the $80 plan.
