I posted this on android forums but wanted to post it here as well.

This is just the basic virgin mobile stock rom.
the only difference is it includes the su and flash binaries as well as ro.secure is turned off in the ramdisk to allow the adb remount command. Download here

would it be possible for you to separate the original VM kernel into a flashable zip?

Thank you providing the rom, I have been looking for something completely stock for a while.

I am bumping an old thread with new content.
Due to the newer Optimus V phones having Sprint screens, the OP's zip will boot you into a black screen if you have one of the new models. You'll hear the boot sound, but see nothing.
I got hold of a stock kernel for the newer phones which has the right drivers.
It still works fine on older V's, too.
I've patched the new kernel into asadullah's original zip
stockopv_newscreen-signed.html
and I also posted this on android forums in the original thread. The new zip was tested by diablo2k over there and verified to work on his new screen.
