Status 7 error installing newest aoSP CM7

I rooted the phone, installed super user, then ROM Manager. I installed clockwork recovery mod, rebooted the phone, and attempted to install it from the SD card in its zip. I get an error, "assert failed" (Status 7) every time. What gives?

That worked I think..but I forgot to wipe and now i'm stuck at the android loading screen. I installed clockwork recovery mod..but how do I get to it?

Did you flash the gapps zip? Download that from first page of the aosp thread and put it on your sd card. Do a battery pull to turn off your phone. Reboot into recovery by pressing and holding power, vol down, and home buttons. Release them after LG logo pops up. You'll be in your recovery. Just to be safe, wipe again, and reflash the rom, then flash the gapps, then reboot.

I had the same problem, for some reason clockwork recovery wouldn't flash ANY ROM for me at all, install xionia and it should flash fine, no more status 7

Should look into installing a custom recovery Instead of clockworkmod
