BACKside Problems I get.

I get a black status bar upon switching themes, or first boot. Once a notification comes up, it then shows everything till reboot, or theme changing. Each one is a fresh flash....

I get that too. It goes and comes. It's not a big deal to me though.

I believe this happens to everyone when you switch themes on BACKside. It doesn't happen when rebooting my phone, though.

I reboot after switching themes and don't encounter the black notification bar until I switch again. You're supposed to reboot after switching themes anyways, so it hasn't affected my use at all.

One very small inconvenience in an otherwise perfect ROM.. I'll take it.

If the nomal methods don't fix the issue, the only remaining solution is a full wipe and format in recovery, then reflash the ROM and gapps.

Had the same bug. Once I made my first download from the market, the full function of the black status bar went in effect and hasn't went away since.

if you use Beautiful Widgets with the temperature showing in the status bar, just refresh the weather and it works. i'm guessing this would work with anything that shows in your status bar.
