Gmail Push on IHO BACKside?

I found somewhere someone complained (think it was using Harmonia) that gmail wasn't pushing, and it was noted that this is a common occurrence with any ROM.

I have had IHO on my V and my wife's for a few days now, and we haven't had a single email on our phones (but plenty on the computer)

A couple times, I heard my computer beep for email so I opened GMail on my phone and it said I had 7 in my inbox but they wouldn't show, no matter how many times I refreshed, changed what box I was looking in, re-opened GMail, etc.

Anyone else having issues with GMail? Any known fix?

SOLVED: the new GMail settings are in odd places, CM7 defaulted to sync everything *except* mail, and now all is well. But tbh, that seemed a bit silly (to default off for mail syncing...)

And the settings for GMail are not under general settings, but when you hit menu > more > Settings > Account settings (for whichever account you want to check) at the very bottom are options for notifications and which labels to notify (inbox/priority inbox)

Thanks! I noticed this as well the last couple of weeks but didn't know what to do about it.
