Want to use cyaogenmod for lg op v

Ok ive researched forums and im wanting to use the latest cymod for this phone the prob I have is getting all the correct info like downloads to do this properly. Any help would be appreciated.

CM9 wont be ready for a while.

Yeah I have the phone rooted thru gingerbreak and I confirmed it thru emulator
just want to do this mod right

Follow these steps:

1- Download this recovery: VM670NH_recovery.img
2- Download the ROM: BACKside-IHO-VM670-02122012.zip
3- Download the gapps (google apps): gapps-gb-20110828.zip
Note- the recovery is an img file, the ROM and gapps are zip files, do not unzip the zip files, place all files at the root of your sdcard (no inside any folders)
4- Open terminal emulator and type in the following:
Note- this installs a custom recovery so you can install other software, and then boots you into the recovery

su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/VM670NH_recovery.img
reboot recovery

5- Under backup and restore, choose to backup (it takes from 5-10 minutes)
6- On the main screen wipe cache
7- Under advanced wipe dalvik cache
8- Under mounts, format boot, data, system, and cache
9- Select install zip from sdcard
10- Select the ROM zip file (takes about 3-5 minutes
11- Select the gapps zip file (takes about 45 seconds)
12- Back on the main screen, reboot

Your first boot up after installing the ROM will take a long time, so be patient (5-15 minutes for a full boot). It won't take that long to boot up later, just the first time or anytime you wipe caches in recovery.

Ok I tried to do recovery on terminal emulator and it says that its not found will redowwnload and try again

you mean flash_image was not found.

its a file the OS needs, it tells android how to flash the recovery. without it, it will say file not found or error.

there is a very detailed "How-To" in this forum. just search for it. its in the optimus v section. you had to have passed over it on your way to posting this thread anyways

sorry for the thread jack but im in the same position and this set up will work for new ov's right
cause ive read some scarry stuff about the recoveries and the new screens

hey could some one tell me the key mapping for that recovery every time i select something it doesnt go to the next screen
