[Patch] Virgin Mobile VM9 Radio Update - Removed.
Doesn't work apparently.
This is the radio update that came in the over the air patch.
This is ONLY the radio, it will not remove root, it will not wipe out data and it will not update your PRL. This is ONLY the radio update.
WARNING
[HL]Do NOT FLASH WITH TOUCH RECOVERY or MULTIROM RECOVERY!!![/HL]
These WILL brick your phone and there is currently no known fix.
What does it do?
It updates the radio and if you are lucky, you might get clearer calls.
Works in Froyo, GB and ICS.
Install it from recovery.
No need to wipe anything at all, just flash.
Use Xionia, IHO and Bobzhome IHO to flash. You have been warned!
Remived
MD5: 9dbdf54b0a8c3a8fac6d449727c6d4b3
Use at your own risk, there is no going back to the old radio once this has been done.
To verify that it installed, frankly, you can't.
The settings you see in about phone are done by the rom, and is not pulled from the radio itself so it will read wrong.Last edited by LeslieAnn; 05-10-2012 at 02:43 PM.

I have and at least one other person has (they used a similar made patch), it works on both Harmonia 1 and 2.

Re: [Patch] Virgin Mobile VM9 Radio Update
Not sure on cross compatibility.
Once installed, you cannot go back since we don't have the original to flash back to.
Seems fine, I'm testing ICS now.

Re: [Patch] Virgin Mobile VM9 Radio Update
So, we just flash it in recovery. No need to wipe anything? Just want to be sure.

Flashed successfully.

Re: [Patch] Virgin Mobile VM9 Radio Update
No need to wipe or anything.
Beware.
I do not have 3g in Quatrimus, calls still sounded clear. Remember, 3g is sketchy on it though, so it could just be that.
[HL]I had to toggle airplane mode.
It works fine in ICS.[/HL]Last edited by LeslieAnn; 03-18-2012 at 09:49 PM.

Re: [Patch] Virgin Mobile VM9 Radio Update
Ok, I plan on flashing it when I get to where I have a signal. I want to make some base line comparisons on signal strength, 3g speed, and call quality before and after the flash. It may be a few days. I'm currently at work about 100 miles due south of Mobile,AL.

Re: [Patch] Virgin Mobile VM9 Radio Update
As mentioned in the first post, there isn't any way to know.
Call voicemail and see if it sounds more clear, I swear mine does, but it could be in my head.
It's a lot of hype for nothing. LOL
