[Question] Are our phones on ext4

Is our phone on an ext4 file system? if not then why aren't they?

They use the yaffs2 file system

Yaffs2, because of the type of storage we have. Higher end devices have emmc and use "normal" file systems. We have mtd and need a fs that handles lower level stuff like wear leveling.

Hmm so then is any way to make it use emmc or is that a hardware perquisite for ext4.

I didn't look it up, but based on context, it looks like emmc is a type of memory.

A friend of mine has the intercept and converted his internals to ext4 with a custom recovery he has. I'm sure the intercept isn't higher end then the OV but am i to assume it has better internal memory then we have?
