I was surfing the play store and found this
https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...d=com.motioncoding.beats&hl=en&token=vl9m50aE
NOTE-
IVE ONLY TESTED ON A GINGERBREAD ROM IM NOT SURE IF ITS WORKING ON FROYO BUT IT SHOULD WORK ON ICS.
It has a list of supported phones and the OV isn't on there. I tested it anyway. Its an app that just copies a .zip file to your SD. The apk file is 13 MB that doesn't do much except give you the files. The newest update doesn't work for the ov. Its v0501 that doesn't work (for some reason) v0317 works great! Improves sound quality. THE ONLY PRPBLEM IS THAT IT BREAKS DSPMANAGER.

How to install -
VERSION 1:
1. Download the app
2. Go through the steps
3. Choose file 0317
4. Boot into recovery
5. BACKUP!
6. Advanced
7. Wipe dalvik cache
8. Install zip from SD
9. DISABLE SIGNATURE VERIFICATION
9. Find the 'Beats Audio.zip' file
10. Install
11. Reboot
12. Delete 'DSPManager' with 'No Bloat Free' if you want

VERSION 2: (saves you 13 MB of RAM)
1. Download the file at the bottom
2. Save it to the root of your SD
3. Reboot to recovery
NOW FOLLOW STEPS 5-12 FROM VERSION 1

Comment your results. Might take about 2-3 minutes longer to boot up.

Re: [MOD] Beats Audio for OV

Wow!! This is way cool. Thanks for putting this up here!!!
I am currently on the stock 2GB microSD card, so I only have about 13 mb free...
but I should be buying a 16GB microSD soon, and once it arrives, I'll definitely test!
Okay, now it's time for a stupid question:
Do I need to own Beats to fully enjoy Beats Audio?

Re: [MOD] Beats Audio for OV

The zip file is only 3 MB download that. Into your SD. Its the apk file that is 13 MB and its not needed. It just gives you updates on the the file.

Oh xD sorry I missed that. You don't need the headphones what it does is it integrates a better audio quality into the phone so if you listen to music on the speaker it will be louder and clearer. Same with any kind of headphones.

Overrated.....

Just use a custom EQ with DSP or PowerAmp app and a decent set of "buds" or headphones and you'll be impressed.
Does it really matter what the sound coming out of the phones crappy speaker sounds like??
...even that depends on the actual download itself i.e. bit-rate.
Just my .02;)

I agree with you 100% ..... some people just like to know they have the new 'thing' now that all phones are coming out with beats audio. I guess its a matter of opinion.

In the market, search 'bloatware remover'. Download the first one. Open it, choose system apps the DSPMANAGER in the list of system and 'delete with backup' or 'delete without backup' if it's 100% un useful to ypu

Lol got a noob question How do o save it to the root of the SD card

The depths of America
Save the zip file? If you download it with your phone it will save to the 'downloads' folder. You can leave it there if you please. Its just easier to find in the root. If you download it with your computer just move it to your SD card. And it will be in the root of your SD card

Saving something to the root of your SD card means saving a file onto your SD card but not into any of the folders in the card.
