How do I factory reset LG Optimus V?

Yes, i did a search but I can not find the answer.

I just sold my phone on Ebay and I was wondering how do I do a factory reset before I mail it to him. Thanks!

Ummm ok....

What have you done to it?? Rooted? ROM? Recovery?

If any of of those were done and you have a restore/back-up on your SD, then you can revert back to it before shipping.....
Again, more info. Not psychic.

Download ZV9 update, update it, don't use touch recoveries to do it, and them ship it.

ZV9 is the easiest way to do it if your not on stock. Apply update using Xionia or Bobz CWM.

Well, if you want to ship it fully stock anyways. :P

DO NOT FACTORY RESET FROM THE SETTINGS MENU IF IT IS ROOTED. There are a million threads about what happens when you do this.

He said he hasn't had anything done so its quite logical to reset from settings. And if he does have a root all he'd have too do is simply unroot.

Actually OP was asked what has been done to the device but has not responded yet, and did not say that the phone is not rooted, its best to err on the side of caution and not tell him/her to reset from the privacy menu until more information is known.
