Why, may I ask, would you want to get cupcake when there's so much amazing Froyo, Gingerbread and ICS development available to you?

Why: There was never a rom made from it.

Re: Cupcake
I don't think they still have cupcake in the repos anymore.

I'm confused. And I don't understand. Why would you want such a downgrade?

Not at all. We would have to rewrite the device and vendor blobs for cupcake (a downgrade from stock) and even harder, we would still have to find a repo that has a cupcake branch (I haven't been able to find a full froyo branch) and then deal with all the errors it throws out for nothing but a downgrade.

Re: Cupcake
It was just a suggestion i mean you never know how good it could work, nothing wrong with going old school but if someone came out with that rom i would use it as my daily xDDDDD

Re: Cupcake
Just as an FYI, I'm not thrilled with the way this thread is going.
Running an older operating system for the sake of speed is good in theory, but it doesn't work for Android phones like it would for a PC.
If you guys want to discuss theory on how to achieve this, or things of that nature, that's fine, but let's try to leave the sarcasm, which has a tendency to lead to worse things, at the door.
