So, I was just browsing the net about info for the GPU the Optimus V has, and looking at the drivers for it... and well, I found some potentially awesome info.
I discovered that we have Qualcomm's Adreno 200 GPU, and I found the drivers for it, with ARMv6 support.
Here's the link to the drivers :
https://developer.qualcomm.com/mobi...phics-optimization-adreno/tools-and-resources

I'm thinking that this could be used possibly for graphics acceleration??

Someone who would know what to do with this, should take a look.

Did you check out the egl folder? Our phones already have adreno200 drivers installed, just not used by default.

Check out the eglpatch file on one of the threads

The phone was built with Adreno 200, so of course our phone uses the drivers.
But are they the latest drivers?
And why isn't it used by default?

I don't know, this never crossed my mind. I'm just happy our devices have adreno200 at all.

I dunno but I saw a commit for a p500-cyanogenmod kernel where they did have an update to adreno drivers. I wouldn't know how to pick it apart or if LG picked it apart for themselves but a lot of these files don't exist in our kernel, though I do wonder if LG took their own direction with the drivers.

I think it's gingerbread compatible but I don't know

Here's a github link

This is the ICS GPU drivers that have been back-ported to the 2.6.35(GB) kernel. So you are right, you could probably backport them to our current IHO kernel so it could work on our GB ROMs.

skimmed through it, and it looks like it.

Regarding the video drivers...

I'm no dev, I really have no idea on this subject. But, would it be possible at all to make video drivers to fix the HQ lag in ICS?
