Most Efficient Rom?
So far I've used gingersnap and mirage. Gingersnap I find has too huge of a bubble for text and also isn't able to send large texts to people. Mirage, I find lags when it gets into the swype keyboard, which is pretty annoying and buggy. I was wondering if anyone has found/used a decent rom that's energy efficient and not as buggy?

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
Alot of your problem might be swype, I use it too and it can be a memory hog. Try updating to the latest 1.4 and turning off swype connect. It helped me quite a bit

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
I use Swype as my default keyboard without problems, though have made adjustments to how the memory is managed.

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
Gingersnap 2.2 w/ int2ext script flashed over it. Fast, good battery life and lots of storage. I've been using it for several months and wouldn't switch to anything else. It's built on Mirage which is also a great ROM. It may be your settings or your phone that are causing the problem.

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
i'd try mandylion but not a lot of screenshots to how it looks and things.
gingersnap looked nice but like with long texts it just wouldn't send at all for some reason.
I like using swype beta, but im sad that it lags when I go back to home or start using it
not sure how to fix problem.

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
Efficiency is depended on a lot of things, like where is the app installed; is it installed on the data partition, on the sdcard or do you have installed on sd-ext partition? What other apps are you running that when you are using Swype? What is your CPU Settings? What type of sdcard do you have, is it stock or after market and was is the class of the sdcard?
As for the screenshot on how the ROM looks, there should not be a need to have more then one anyways because how a ROM looks is up to you when it comes to being more then just a stock look.SuperiorIrkenOrgans 100% CyanogenMod for LGE Optimus devices.

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
Just to chime in real quick but out of curiosity how can you tell what class of card you have. Mine was handed to me out of package as payment for helping a friend install Linux.

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
Look for the letter "C" on the face of the card and there is a number inside the letter, if there is no letter "C" then in most case it is class 2.

Re: Most Efficient Rom?
FYI
The class rating of an SD card has no bearing on it's quality or read speed. Class ratings are for write speed only.
For android devices read speed is the most important. The faster the read speed, the quicker the SD card is read during boot up. The faster the read speed, the faster your apps on the SD card will open.
Currently, after testing over at Android Forums ( long story), the Sandisk class 4 16GB has the best at 40MB/s (I think this should be an industry standard). The other Sandisk class 4's might, it's just the 16GB size is what I choose to purchase.
There may be others just as fast, but all the cheap ones seem to struggle jusy to break 25MB/s.

I've tried them all and never seen a rom without it.
