Default Google apps formats my phone

It seems that if I install gapps-gb-20110325-signed.zip, it will format everything on my phone each time I reboot!

I can just use any ROM just fine but if I install google apps there will be a screen when I boot up saying "Android system recovery!! Do not pull out battery!"

And it says "formatting data, cache" and etc.

Is there any solution to this other than not having google apps? I kinda need the market app....

Have you tried downloading a different apps file?
Maybe you picked up one that somebody fiddled with.

Just tried the file from the "Zefie's CM7" thread but it still does the exact same thing.

What order are you flashing your zip files in. The rom needs to go first then the gapps you flash them one after another on the same recovery you don't reboot the phone till after both of those zip files are done. Not saying you diddnt do that but it could happen
