So I'm a geek, but I'm completely new to smart phones (sounds like a contradiction I know). I'm currently on AT&T, I feel the service is good, and I'm on a family plan and my monthly share is very low, so I don't want to switch.
What I'd like to think about doing is re-upping the contract, getting a subsidized iPhone 3GS for $200, sell the iPhone on eBay or such, then buying a N1.
I'm sure people have done this. I'm looking for any tips or suggestions folks might have about how this typically works. Let's assume I get the iPhone in the mail (order online), and never open the box, or do anything. I'm just kind of confused and want to make sure that this isn't a complete waste of time and money, the last thing I want to do is get stuck with an iPhone.
