    Smile Games?

    Hey,

I have the HTC Incredible and been looking at the Xperia play for fun.

Are their quite a bit of games that are compatible with the Xperia play hardware controls?

Do they update the games catalog on a regular basis? Regular android market games should work with this phone right?

Searching for "xperia play optimized" will show you what kind of games you can play with the hardware controller.

    Regular games work just fine.

Gameloft also has a bunch of games on their website. They are pretty awesome.

Hopefully someone cracks the encryption so we can convert psx iso to a format that the Play can read then it will be Xenogears time. I like the emulators that were on the market but they all have sound issues no matter what phone you have.
God I love Plex, nothing like being able to listen to Poison the Well miles away from your PC!!

works pretty flawlessly on the Play. When it comes to emulators its more about how the image of the game is made and the settings that are used in the emulator. I've used this in conjunction with a random rom fetcher off the market (PSX Rom Buddy) and have had no issues with the games I've tried (metal gear solid, resident evil 3, marvel vs capcom 1, vagrant story, etc) The only downside is that you can't yet map the touch pad controls but I can see this being fixed in an update fairly easily.

As far as games go on the play and are two good examples are what the play is capable of with its hardware and controls.

Cordy is another really fun optimized game on the Play. If you are on the edge of deciding to go with this phone you will not be disappointed. Also there is going to be alot of new games available by the end of the year. Playstation Suite is also rumored to be coming to the Xperia Play.
