I was able to get this tablet for only $40 so not a big deal, even though its a cheap tab. I was simply looking for something to use to hook to my tv to watch movies on. Either stored on the tablet movies or streaming.
The specs are below.....

PROBLEM -
I am able to watch / STREAM youtube, adult movies and just about anything else Ive tried, but when I try to stream movies from putlocker or sockshare, whether Ive uploaded or some one else has, it just hangs up after about 3 mins. Usually from a windows pc, you can pause the movies and allow to buffer and all is well. Movies stored on stream2k seems to play just fine.

I am wondering why this may be OR looking for something to allow to play the movie on my pc, but see it on the tablet.
Any help would be appreciated!

My husband bought this tablet recently for work and it has nothing but, issues! It is laggy and slow. When you go to touch the screen it tries to zoom in instead of scrolling. The on screen keyboard sucks. There is a pop up constantly stating we are viewing a page with a certificate that isn't safe or something close to that. I have tried various websites that are safe and continue to get this pop up. Basically he gave it to me because he could't use it. I only go on facebook and check my email.. it was just something I thought could be convienent for me when I don't want to get up and sit at the computer and I don't need a laptop because I have a desktop computer. I have a smartphone and I like it but, it was nice to have a bigger screen. I thought maybe I would try some apps and see if I like any games.. BASIC stuff that any tablet should be able to handle and this tablet FAILED.

I just got my irulu 4.2 Jellybean tablet and this is my first time dealing with anything other than desktop and non smart phone. I am very good with computers but this is a brave new world for me. Sat down and started getting used to the navigation, etc and as long as I did not go too fast everything was ok.

Finally got wifi to work using my Comcast router so thought I was good to go. Installed one app from google play wishlist and got all excited but after that apps won't install probably because of signal strength and it was driving me nuts and drained the tablet battery. I thought LETS MAKE THIS SIMPLE so lets install the tablet as a drive on the pc and drag and drop the apps. Seems simple enough but NOT.

Windows has a list of devices to install and I selected Android but it could not find a driver and of course I have no software to load for the Irulu.

So to try another SIMPLE method I thought why not load the tablet sd card into my HP printer and drag the apps to it and put card in tablet and download them. I dragged the app from my wish list to the sd card but all it does it drag the shortcut and not the app. Can't find apps as downloadable to such as ad card anywhere in google play. I wish there was a download button in google play in addition to install ...thats all I would need. I know you can't install/use an Android app on a pc but all I want to do is load it onto an sd card or tablet (as a drive).

Am I really asking too much to have the tablet show as a drive on the pc and/or why can't I just move these apps from computer> sd card> tablet . I have googled myself silly but nothing I have found has resolved the problem. I thought for sure google play store help would tell me but NOT.

I hope someone on here can help me and thanks in advance. I really don't care at this point which method to use if it would work. I just want a way to get the apps onto the tablet without the wifi method....grrrr and argh

Re: Irulu TabletPC

Irulu table PC a Christmas gift from my husband. I have had problems with it from the beginning. The user's guide that came with it had not visuals or set up instructions, only very generic information and no troubleshooting questions answered. The website is only about selling the products there is no real customer service. Not even an easy to find phone number. The battery does not hold a charge. Downloading is long, the keyboard does not work most of the time and no obvious way to access anything plugged into a USB port. It does not seem to automatically recognize anything plugged into it. I have been researching online trying to give it a fair shake. But the keyboard won't even work at all now! :'(

if you have the app files (apk) on your pc, this will work for you, as it is what I do myself. For the apps I cannot load from the app store - like certain betas, I upload the apk to my dropbox, and then download them to the irulu from there. Even if you have to go to the dropbox site through the browser, this should work for you. As soon as the irulu tries to open the dl'ed file, it will bring up the installation dialogs, if you have allowed install from outside sources.

I am going to sound weird here, but I am so thrilled to read that all of you are having the same issues with there iRULU as I have had almost day 1. I also got mine as a Christmas gift from me to me. I was so happy to be moving up in the world. then first problem was the battery life, next. what, why was my keyboard on my screen not on my keypad.. and what was with these stupid wires connecting the keyboard to the tablet.and why would it stop DLing something in the middle of the app? Then I read what all of you people are saying and I now know why I'm having all these issues.. I see a lot of you got your for cheap. mine was $120. through eBay. if I would have known it wasn't just me thinking I was doing something wrong, I might have tried returning it. thanks for letting me know I'm not nuts.

I must be one of the lucky ones, or the most recent models have been fixed/upgraded. Then again mine is only a couple weeks old. I have installed numerous apps on my Irulu (10.1 android 4.2.2). It is slightly laggy here and there but that is just initially, like opening an app. Once I get a YT vid to play i usually have no problems watching the entire video. I also dont "power use" this thing. Just a little browsing, some Amazon and Ebay browsing/shopping and some YT videos. I was hoping somone could tell me if they had found a compatible screen protector? I cant find one made for this tablet so I know the front cam will get covered (dont really care) and I will have holes and openings in places I dont need them sicne most already are designed for other tablets. Does anyone know of a universal protector that will fit with no holes in it? I really would like one that does not need trimmed, they are a PITA. Thanx!

Yes, I have same problems with this tablet at first tablet I got from them. I bought this tablet from Amazon seller. It was 120. Once the freezing problem happened, I contacted the seller. The seller is very nice and ask me for my requirement and recommend a 2014 new tablet they produce. It is 6 dollars more. The CPU is A31 quad core. The response of the tablet is great. I saw some product reviews said their running score can be compared to Nexus 7. I don't know that is true or not. I am happy with this one. It look like expensive because its mental surface but not cheap plastic. It didn't like other irulu tablets, it has bluetooth, which working great with my lepow bluetooth speaker. I would recommend this one. But the resolution quality is still not as I expected. But for this price, I think this is the only quad core tablet people can get. The name of new product is 2014 New iRulu 9.7" Quad-Core 4X1.2GHz Android Tablet PC,

Irulu Tablet MTK8389 9.7" Quad Core

I purchased this tablet a few days ago after reading positive reviews for the quad core a31s. The MTK version was 149.99 and advertised 2 sim card slots and slightly better hardware so I went with that. Thus far I have zero complaints but I haven't pushed it yet. It appears that irulu has upped their game with their 9.7" offerings. If my opinion of this tablet changes for the negative I will return to this thread to report details.

Well Terrance, (LMAO at your name) it looks like your the one who is half naked watching porn. I'm just calling it like I see it in your avatar. What a stud muffin you are just standing there with your bald head and bare chest, oh and the big shiny gold or silver bicycle chain around your neck. The ladies must be busting down your door to get a peek at you. I nominate you Terrance for the biggest forum FAIL of all time.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. I don't know the absolute best way to fix all those problems but what worked for me was I got an app called file manager had and when you open it hit the drop menu in the top left corner and view all. Whatever app you have having issues with will show up as an apk but when you tap on it a lot of them have a pretty long drop menu and clicking on the wrong one will force the whole app to crash and you have to start over. Here are a few I'm thinkin you guys might be interested in:

Developer tools: "package browser" option
Issues with any google service: there is a set up wizard but if you tap on it it'll open the sub menu, so tap and hold till the menu comes up and just run it.

I just started learning about getting into devices like 3 weeks ago but I like to think I've gotten pretty good. I would have been able to post more but while I was tinkering around and reading all the hidden settings I accidentally forced it to do a hard restart T-T

THAT REMINDS ME!! There is a hidden phone on the irulu X7 called dragonphone and I have been poking around with it for days wondering if it was possible to activate some type of service on it. I found how to edit everything I would need to do it but I can't figure out the sim card (it says invalid but I read it's referring to the built in smart card.) It has no imei/esn/meid or anything but like I said, if there's a way I can get a good set of number I can edit it in.

mine did the same thing and i ended up having to do a hard reset ... to do that you will have to hold down the power button and the volume up button then when it looks like a deadish android push the volume up button and it will give you a list.. chose factory reset and then choose restart.. it will put you right back like you just got it... hope that helps

Personally I love this tablet!!! Heck people might have different concerns but the only concern I have is I would like to put 64 gigs into it! Still a question in hand since it's a dual core device running 4.0 and up.But other than that it's cool! I rarely use it for online stuff just as a music player! I just plug and play with my Mac,Or Linux computer and drag and drop! Man people make things so complicated.

It might be 3g or wifi activated,I used it for the phone capabilities and found it interesting,Text my sister in florida last month with it and it works!

Leave the SD Card in the tablet, connect it to your computer via a USB cable, and then turn on USB Storage on the tablet. You can then transfer files as normal. Aquick google search can explain how to turn on USB Storage for Android devices. It's a very simple step. Hope this helps.
