Sprint handed the Wimax 4G network down to Virgin and Boost, and Wimax is only available in 71 cities nationwide. If you don't have it in your area, don't expect it. They are not expanding Wimax 4G. Check Virgin's coverage map to check for 4G in your area.

Don't expect WiMAX to be around once Sprint builds out LTE so maybe 2-3 years.
WiMAX is OK speeds and allows simultaneous voice and data but when I had it on an EVO 4G and turning on WiMAX was a battery hog.
