tmobile monthly 4g or straight talk for the nexus 4
I am planning on buying the nexus 4 and I like the T-Mobile monthly 4g 30 dollar plan but I have heard the coverage is horrible compared to straight talks at&t network
Just wondering if the coverage is all that bad and some other advice on which plan to choose. - 01-04-2013, 11:40 PM #2

Depends where you go. In the major cities I've been to it's been great...but traveling outside the city for me it often goes to Edge.

I went with T mobiles Value Plan. There's a truly unlimited 4G data plan.

Straight Talk uses ATT towers. So depending on which giant you deem worthy to hold your account is personable. What I believe to be the best service between the two is T-mobile because they are working with Metro PCS towers here in the coming months. There is another service out there too called Simple Mobile it seems like decent service but I believe it runs on ATT service as well.

I've been very happy with Solavei (T-Mobile MVNO). If you're in a good Tmo area... $49 unlimited talk /text /data unthrottled until 4GB. Also, they are doing the affiliate sign up thing so you can effectively lower that rate if you are interested in such things.

Re: tmobile monthly 4g or straight talk for the nexus 4
It's worth noting that the only way to get AT&T service through Straight Talk is to buy a used SIM from someone at inflated prices, as ST doesn't offer AT&T SIMs anymore, although they still honor the old ones (at this point). I'm currentlu habing massive issues with ST through their SIM program.
The issue I habe with MVNO versus the actual network is thay you have the lowest bandwidth priority and don't get access to ALL of their towers, only the ones the MVNO pays for

Re: tmobile monthly 4g or straight talk for the nexus 4
I have Straight Talk. I hate them. I hate their customer service, and even when beginning a new month, my data speeds are still throttled. I legitimately hate them. I picked ST because of their coverage (Iowa, specifically), but once I get back to Chicago I'll take up with T-Mobile or Solavei. In the meantime, I ditched ST for i-wireless... Never been happier.
By the way, I hate Straight Talk.
