Metro PCS GSM

A local Metro pcs is claiming full compatability with any AT&T smart phone. They said the only thing I would miss was updates to AT&T apps. I don't think it's quite that simple. I was assuming 4G but not LTE which I am fine with.

Overall wondering if anyone had any experience with this since they started this? I expect it is tmobile's network. I wish I had an easy way to test their reception at my home and workplace.

I am using an HTC one, and my girlfriend has an HTC one X which we would both move if we do this... Wireless bill would be about half of what it is now...

I also assume it would be tmo towers, since they are owned by tmo.

It wound be different from phone to phone. Certain phones just don't take advantage of both networks array of network types.
