ZTE MERIT MODEL Z990G Shutting off

I was playing a game, never had problems with my phone before. and it shut off on me. when I plugged it in to the charger it went to the blue power up screen....IT has never went off. twice i got it to go to the lock screen, but could not unlock my phone, and it says no service. had taken the battery out for periods of 1 to 25 minutes. I need help this phone is the only source of contact between school, work and doctors.

If it's still under warranty, of if you bought an extended warranty, bring it back. It sounds like a hardware problem.
