You made it sound like Google was copying a feature that Apple had patented. I'm OK with what the article says they're doing, acquisitions happen.

Songza is worth a lot less than Beats, just sayin'.

Or Beats was obscenely overpriced, more like (and Apple took the bait).
"Worth" is very relative. A matter of perspective.
Remember the internet bubble, the derivatives hype, the tulip craze? To name but a few.

Beats has large brand name and mind share, you thinking it is over priced is your personal thoughts. It also a very profitable company. Apple paying 3 billion for Beats was a fair price.

Like Google buying Motorola for 14 billion and selling it for 3 billion, less than 2 years later, you mean?

LOL!

It's sad that you frequent tech sites yet remain misinformed as to how Google came out on top selling Motorola. At that they are two different tech sales, that.....you know what, your misinformation about tech deals is not my problem. You are on the internet so Google it.

Apple payed about half a bill for the streaming service, the remaining 2 and half bill was for the beats hardware, which is grossly profitabble.

Of course it is grossly profitable because their products are grossly overpriced. But I agree, they go well together as Apple's gear is overpriced too.

Why do these posts always make it sound like Android never copies?
Because Apple is the one suing everyone and their dog for copying, and their users constantly defend them about it.

Google never complained about Apple stealing their ideas. Google is not suing everyone for stealing their ideas. Apple is the aggressor, which is why Apple is the one criticized.

Apple stuff is not overpriced. Beats, on the other hand is maybe just overpriced for what they are but mainly with them, you are buying the brand when you buy their stuff.

...and deservedly so.

Jobs was brilliant in the seventies, eighties, and nineties. But OSX, iTunes, and iPods marked his selling out to corporate greed in the 21st century. In 2010, with the above statement, he went over the edge and evidently lost it.
