Pioneer Park statue. Taken with a new Moto G.

Whether they're fun, serious or somewhere in between, we see plenty of statues around. They often take painstaking amounts of time and effort to create, and can take on a variety of different styles and shapes. We want to see the best shots you can take of a statue of any kind, big or small, this week.

We're going to select two winners again this week, with each winning a just-announced Motorola Power Pack Micro!

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a post below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (Sept 23) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with next Wednesday's contest.

  • Pictures must be taken with an Android device
  • Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
  • You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
  • Feel free to add a little back story — we want to know how the picture came to be.
  • You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
  • Only one entry per week per person.

Good luck, everyone!

This image was taken in Washington DC at the US Navy Memorial on Pennsylvania Avenue with a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The significance of the photo, and the wreath shown, is in remembrance of those who lost their lives or were injured in the Sept 16, 2013 shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington DC. This photo was taken one month after the shooting.

My first time ever in Philadelphia...and of course it's a blizzard! The "National Treasure" lover in me required a stop at Independence Hall. Right outside is a beautiful statue of George Washington.

I love this picture, the contrast of the dark statue and the falling, white snow is gorgeous. I also like the slight depth of field between the statue and the building.

Taken with my Moto X and edited with Snapseed.

Took this picture inside the Duomo in Milan, Italy with my HTC One M8. This angle makes the statue a bit more creepy than it was in person, but I really love the way this one turned out.

Picture of Neptune taking a few weeks ago on the boardwalk at Virginia Beach during our summer vacation. Really like the way it turned out with the gradient sky in the background. Taken with my Galaxy S5, default camera, no editing or effects applied.

I can't actually believe this is possibly the week for this. In class this week we made small statues out of Floral foam... the subject was organic shapes. I couldn't come up with anything until I was watching a tribute to my HERO Robin Williams who passed. So, out of Floral foam, I carved his nose. Along the side of it I painted his iconic Suspender Strap. It was just this weird thought that I should put him in, and I swear to you on all that is holy, I put this up on my class tonight just about 1/2 an hour ago!

taken with my Note 3, and only cropped in Photoshop. It was in HDR mode and looks great!
